Personal Leadership Development Programme (PLDP)

Consisting of:

Industry Integration and Mentoring

Each participant in the programme is assigned an industry mentor throughout the programme duration which helps them develop the right attitude, networks and be better prepared to join back in the corporate work-force.

Coaching

Participants are assigned a professional coach (ICF certified) who supports and enhances the individual development of the participant through personal coaching sessions. This initiative aims at helping women reintegrate to a corporate life and develop them as well-balanced future women leaders.

Leadership Lab

The leadership lab provides an opportunity to reflect on innate strengths and weakness, internal constraints, leadership potential and future directions for a richer, more fulfilling and meaningful professional and personal life. The lab helps to foster trust and authenticity, while helping students build and execute a self-vision and develop a leadership style aligned to one’s own values and personality.

Leadership Lecture Series

Leaders from corporates and other walks of life are invited to share their personal journeys and share their experiences to understand various leadership styles and life lessons. This not only inspires our students but helps them develop their leadership style grounded in their own values and beliefs.

Social Sensitivity and Attitude Building

Gender and Organisation

The programme aims to build awareness and facilitate insights regarding the origins, propagation and effects of processes such as biases, harassment and inclusion in work organisations (particularly in the Indian context), as well as the potential benefits and complexities of achieving diversity and inclusion in organisations.

Social Immersion

In line with SPJIMR’s values of social sensitivity and collaboration, students are taken for a 3-day social immersion camp to a social entrepreneurship centre or an institution that works for the welfare of under-privileged sections of society. Besides sensitising the participants, social immersion also helps them appreciate the importance and role of management principles in an unstructured environment.

Science of Spirituality (SOS)

In keeping with the mission to promote value based growth, the School persistently explores ways to design and refine a curriculum aimed at fostering spiritual quotient in managerial decision-making. More recently, SPJIMR has blended the various experiments across programmes into a formal approach referred to as the Science of Spirituality (SOS) . This course aims to blend the paradigm of competitiveness at one extreme with that of selfless service at the other.

Industry Interface

Design Thinking Project (DT Project)

Design Thinking is an addition to the series of unique pedagogic innovations that SPJIMR is known for. Students work on a corporate live project to provide them with an opportunity to put to test the principles of design thinking for complex problem solving in the real world context.

Corporate Internship Program (CIP)

At the end of the specialisation phase , students of PGMPW intern with leading corporates in their functional area for a duration of 4 weeks. The internship project is monitored by faculty and industry mentors. Internship provides students with an opportunity to gain practical insights and apply the knowledge and skills imbibed during the duration of the course. It also provides students an opportunity to expand their network.

General Management (February-June)

Includes basic courses in different fields of management and aims to build awareness and sensitivity to business world.

1. e-learning module: On-boarding module with basic management concepts revised over a month through online video classes.

2. The classroom phase includes courses in General Management.

3. Design Thinking live project

Specialization (June-September)

Offers specialization in the areas of:

Finance
Human Resource Management
Marketing
Operations Management and Information Management.

Corporate Internship:

4 Weeks

Integration phase includes courses in management which cuts through various functional areas and give knowledge of advanced management concepts.

Mentoring by industry experts run throughout the duration of the programme.

Personalized coaching by ICF certified coaches throughout the duration of the programme.
