‘Aspiration’ and ‘inspiration’ according to me are two sides of the same coin. While one always wants to do something with their life, the need of an external stimulus is paramount to get one going on their feet. This stimulus which helps make or break one’s future is channelized by way of their dreams. While some may consider a dreamer to be an escapist, a person who doesn’t want to face reality and live in the mythical world of unicorns and centaurs, one cannot really deny or quantify the real worth of a dream. While Professor Vaidya has succinctly described the real worth of a dream, one needs to always know where to draw the line when it comes to dreaming as nothing can be worse than a dreamer who lacks the vision to convert his/her dream into reality. It is good to dream big as the bigger the dream, the better the chances of realizing it. The bigger the dream results in one taking a quantum leap towards achieving the same. A dream should not be devoid of doubts and apprehensions in the mind of the dreamer as while planning a trip the real fun lies in the journey rather than just reaching the destination. And which journey is fun if it does not have its share of trials and tribulations. Thus, on a parting note, I would like to quote the legendary Walt Disney who once said, ‘If you can dream it, you can do it”.
