Don’t stop chasing your dreams, because dreams do come true”, said an emotional Sachin Tendulkar on the eve of India winning the Cricket World Cup, 2011. There I was teary eyed, probably hanging from the ceiling in front of my college dormitory trying to peek into the small television kept right in the corner and reflecting on what the master just said. It felt as if I were Sachin Tendulkar, I won the World Cup and I were running around the ground with the trophy in my hand, such was my connect with the great man. I could see the ancient proverb coming true that all grandmas have told their kids, “There is no limit to what a human can achieve provided he has a dream and the will to achieve it”. I knew that night was different especially when my grandma from heaven bumped into me in my dream and said, “I told you so!!” (Sarcasm) and I replied probably for the first time ever “yeah, you were right!!’. That day onward to this day today, I have dreamt, worked hard and persisted to get to the point where I am today. I have a dream of buying a Mercedes AMG-GT on cash payment within the next 8 years. I have a wallpaper of the car on my laptop from the past 4 years and not a day goes by without me imaging myself going from 0 – 100 in 4 seconds on lucid race track. I firmly believe in what the blog says: I will voice my dreams and keep them alive. I will think about them and work hard for them hoping that the doors would open and the opportunities would come. Above all I have my grandma from heaven all the more eager to tell me, “I told you so!!”
